Year 4 Stubbington - Day 4
Year 4 Stubbington - Day 4
Year 4 said goodbye to Mrs Piper and Mrs Elliott and welcomed Mr Barrand and Mrs Ballantyne to the team – Unfortunately, they didn’t bring the weather with them! However, in Stubbington terms, ‘There’s no such thing as bad weather’, so on went the wellies and waterproofs and they headed off for a beach walk. The children created their own rock pools and hunted for fossils before making sand sculptures.
After lunch, Year 4 visited the long house to learn about the Anglo-Saxons. The children were knowledgeable and recalled the facts they had learnt in their spring project. They used their creative skills to make clay pots, woven bracelets and then designed their own shields.
The day ended with the ‘S Factor’ with each house performing their chosen song. The Kestrels were the winners!!!
Now it’s time for Year 4 to pack up and get ready to head home.
Yes parents… they are coming back!!!
