On Tuesday, Year 5 visited the Tower of London as part of their history research for this half-term's topic. They visited the spectacular Crown Jewels, climbed all 204 steps to the White Tower to see historic armour and artillery, and even managed to witness some of the famous ravens on the tower grounds. Half of the year group took part in the workshop, 'Pirate Prisoners' and learned all about how the Towers were used to imprison those that committed such crimes. The other half of the year group participated in the workshop, 'The Queens of Henry VIII'. They learned all about Henry's six wives and what happened to each of them during his reign.

All the children were exemplary in their behaviour and now have first-hand experience to apply to further learning this half-term!'
