Year 5 Mary Rose Museum Visit

Year 5 visited the Mary Rose Museum as part of their history research for this half-term's topic, 'Tremendous Tudors'.

To start their trip, they dived into the 4d excavation of the vessel and learnt about how the Mary Rose was carefully lifted from the seabed.  Half of the year group then took part in the workshop, 'Henry's Heroes', while the other half of the year group discussed and compared various theories about what sank the Mary Rose in a science-themed workshop. Finally, they visited the Mary Rose itself and explored the three viewing decks. They imagined life on the ship and looked at different artefacts from the Tudor era.

All the children were exemplary in their behaviour and now have first-hand experience to apply to further learning this half-term!
