STAMSHAW THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND

Stamshaw Junior boys football team created history last week by winning their first ever competitive game in the Schools Hampshire Cup. The team came from 2 goals down to beat Queens Inclosure to put their name into the hat for the next round.

With a mixture of our Year 5 and 6's the boys started very quiet but a wonderful lob from his own half from Dacey gave Stamshaw a 1-0 lead. 5 minutes before the break, Queens Inclosure got back into the game, scoring twice to lead at half-time 2-1. After the team talk, the boys came out fighting and got back level with a goal from Michele. With the final minutes on the clock, Dacey came to the rescue with a superb volley into the corner and a incredible double save from Clarke (he thought the cameras were watching him) gave Stamshaw a hard-fought victory.

All the boys represented the school to the highest of standards and we are very lucky to have them play for our school. Well done boys! Up the Stamshaw!
