The pupils and staff of SJS would like to say a huge “THANK YOU” to our amazing school community and the Stamshaw Schools PATCH team for raising money to buy new books and chairs for our much loved and well-used library. 

In May, you helped to raise over £300 during our Break the Rules Day and PATCH recently made a very generous donation of £250 to put towards much-needed new furniture for our library. 

As a result, we were able to purchase a fantastic collection of books, chosen by the children of SJS.  This has really helped to improve the already building enthusiasm for reading and our library is busier than ever!

Thank you too to the many of you who donated your pre-loved books!

Our school councillors are already planning to raise money for some plants and soft furnishings such as throws and cushions to make our library even more welcoming! 

Don't forget, our library is open until 4pm on Wednesdays - come along with your child to choose a book, have a read and maybe take an Accelerated Reader quiz - our team of school librarians will be on hand to help.
