In Year 5, we have been learning about the Ancient Egyptian civilization.

To deepen our learning, we introduced the first ever Egyptian Day to Stamshaw Junior School where everyone got to dance like an Egyptian, strut their stuff on the Nile catwalk and even created their own clay children's toy from that era.

Later in the day, the children decoded Egyptian hieroglyphic messages and created their own modern day alphabet.

We have had a super day and a big ankh you to all who dressed up for the occasion.
