Year 4 Butser Farm Trip
On Tuesday 24th November, as part of their Saxon learning, Year 4 travelled to Butser Farm. After an exciting coach journey, Year 4 arrived in the green fields. After a brief introduction, the children walked into a recreated Saxon roundhouse. They were split into classes to learn about Saxon life, including creating fences by wattling, carving chalk using flint, exploring Saxon artefacts and spinning lambs wool. Not forgetting a trip to the shop.
A busy day for all, many tired children on the way home!
